Sheriff's Online Report Tracking System (SORTS)
SORTS allows you to report a specific type of crime or incident online. However, not all reports may be made on SORTS due to the criteria the report may fall in.
To the Right are examples of reports you may file on SORTS. If you have video footage of the incident or have information of who committed the crime, it will not meet the criteria to file a report online.
You may access the SORTS system on LASD.org. On the right hand side you can select Services and you will see “File a Crime Report- Sorts.”
If you have further questions, you may call the station at 661-948-8466. We hope this system assists you and makes it easier to report these incidents online.

If you have an emergency, dial 9-1-1
You must be 18 years or older to file a report online.
You must have a valid email address to submit a report online.
The incident must have occurred within the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department patrol area.
You can report the following incidents:
- Lost or stolen phones valued at $950 or less
- Lost or stolen property valued at $950 or less
- Vandalism, excluding graffiti, where damage is valued under $400
- Theft from an unlocked vehicle valued at $950 or less
- Theft from an open or unsecured area valued at $950 or less

Our CAC and Deputies in Action: Thanksgiving 2024 turkey giveaway - 11/25/2024
The Thanksgiving event saw a fantastic response with many grateful families receiving turkeys and all the trimmings for their holiday meal. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the deputies, the Antelope Valley Sheriff Boosters, the Lancaster Sheriff Station Community Advisory Committee, Voices of Our Youth, AV News Crew, and the community for their support in making this event successful. Wishing everyone a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!
