Join The CAC

We are looking for new Community Advisory Committee (CAC) members! 

 

"Do you have ideas on how to bridge the gap between law enforcement and our community? 


Have you always wanted to volunteer and be involved in some way?


If so, we need you!

Lancaster Sheriff's Station Community Advisory Committee

The Lancaster Sheriff's Station Community Advisory Committee is a group of dedicated community members who volunteer their time to offer direct feedback to the Lancaster Sheriff's Station on local community matters. This committee values the input and knowledge of the community to tackle issues related to law enforcement, such as concerns about racial or ethnic profiling. In addition to having a channel to law enforcement services, the committee works towards fostering transparency and enhancing public awareness of LASD operations. Membership is open to all individuals in our diverse community, including those from faith groups, minority communities, ethnic backgrounds, and student/youth organizations.

Requirements to join the cac

Are you a resident of Lancaster, Quartz Hill, Lake Los Angeles, or any other unincorporated area?

Would you be available to join us for monthly meetings and a quarterly Town Hall-style meetings?

Do you have ideas to enhance the relationship between law enforcement and the community?

Are you willing to dedicate yourself to a two-year term as a member of the CAC?

Individuals must complete a volunteer application, pass a background check, and interview.

You must be able to provide parental consent for individuals under the age of 18.

Are you interested in Joining the CAC?

If you are interested in becoming a part of the CAC, we invite you to visit the station Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, and request to speak with a Community Relations Deputy. They will be able to assist you with obtaining a volunteer application.
